The XI All-Russian Conference “Fluorine Chemistry” with international
participation (F-2016) was held in Moscow at the A.N.Nesmeyanov
Institute of Organoelement Compounds of the Russian Academy of
Sciences. The Conference was marked the 110th anniversary of
outstanding fluorine chemist Professor I.L.Knunyants who founded the
Russian scientific school of organofluorine chemistry, which went on to
gain worldwide recognition. Knunyants’s contribution to fluorine
chemistry is highly appreciated by the world scientific community.
The Conference was covered all key aspects and world trends in
development of chemistry and technology of fluorine compounds. The
programme of the Conference was included lectures of outstanding
scientists concerning the recent advances in chemistry of compounds of
fluorine, results of basic research opening the route to new
technologies.
The programme comprises the following topics:
synthesis and reactivity of organic and inorganic fluorine compounds;
biologically active fluorinated substances;
fluorinated polymers;
technology problems and prospective applications of fluorinated compounds and materials;

Russian-Japanese "Fluorine seminar" in Novosibirsk
The Russian-Japanese "Fluorine seminar"was held in N.N. Vorozhtsov Novosibirsk Institute of Organic
Chemistry of Siberian Branch of Russian Academy of Sciences (NIOCh SB RAS), on 17th of December,
2019. There were made presentations by number of Russian scientists from NIOCh SB RAS: Prof.
Bardin V, Prof. Malikhin E., Prof. Tretyakov E. and Japanese scientists: Prof. Yamazaki from
University of Toyo, Prof. Shibata from the Technollogical Institue of Nagoya. Also there were made presentations by
the Senior employees of innovation business of Japan from
Daikin and Asahi Glass. They acquainted the audience
with the perspectives directions of organofluorine
compounds'application in these companies.
Abstracts of some reports will be published in the next issue of the journal.
