Dear Readers,

Our journal is celebrating its 10-th anniversary this December!

When in December of 1998 we were preparing the first issue of Fluorine Notes, of course, we had not looked so far ahead. We were starting our electron journal to cover on-the-fly the life and development of Fluorine Chemistry in Russia due to flexibility of the Internet.

Some of that plans were managed to fulfill, some are left for the future. We started from a point of 80 - 100 readers a month, and for the present time the attendance of the website has risen about a hundred times. Of course, ten years ago we could not have imagined that such a big number of specialists would be attending our website!

We hope to attract you with fresh topics and articles and also to attract new interesting authors in the future. From 1999 our journal is referred by Chemical Abstract, and from 2008 it has got its own International Standard Serial Number (ISSN) - the unique number, used for identification of a printed or electron periodical.

The works of leading Russian specialists in the field of fluorine chemistry are being published in our journal on a regular basis as well as the works of foreign authors.

Looking ahead we will continue the developing of our journal, covering wider range of issues and topics to satisfy different interests of our readers. We hope to get acquainted our readers with a number of our new ideas as early as the next year of 2009.

We would like to thank you for your interest and attention to our periodical. I hope to approve your expectations in the coming year and the interest to our journal will only be growing!!! We wish you a Happy New Year's Holidays!

Russian-Japanese "Fluorine seminar" in Novosibirsk

The Russian-Japanese "Fluorine seminar"was held in N.N. Vorozhtsov Novosibirsk Institute of Organic Chemistry of Siberian Branch of Russian Academy of Sciences (NIOCh SB RAS), on 17th of December, 2019. There were made presentations by number of Russian scientists from NIOCh SB RAS: Prof. Bardin V, Prof. Malikhin E., Prof. Tretyakov E. and Japanese scientists: Prof. Yamazaki from University of Toyo, Prof. Shibata from the Technollogical Institue of Nagoya. Also there were made presentations by the Senior employees of innovation business of Japan from Daikin and Asahi Glass. They acquainted the audience with the perspectives directions of organofluorine compounds'application in these companies.

Abstracts of some reports will be published in the next issue of the journal.
